Our modern, fully accessible facilities in a rural setting, on the edge of the South Downs National Park, is the perfect place to encourage pupils to connect with nature and learn how to care for farm animals. And our friendly staff will help your school trip to be a day out to remember!
Guided, self-guided or a blend of both, our interactive learning experiences, appropriate for early years, KS1 and KS2 groups encourage the children to explore the using all their senses, whilst developing skills and knowledge in key areas. These activities can also be easily adapted to include animal husbandry and team building exercises for KS3, home schooling groups, higher education and therapeutic animal experiences for SEN and extracurricular groups.
And of course, a visit would not be complete without some time to run around and have fun whether that be on our play areas and slides (indoors and out), completing our Maze (the largest in Sussex), Water Bowls and Soft Play Area, Mini Crazy Golf or Ride on Tractors.

Farm ExperienceA real hands-on experience with lots of fun on the farm. Our Farm Team will take the lead and introduce you to all our friendly farm residents! Feed, muck out a paddock, groom and learn how to care for the animals and discover the importance of farm produce, milk, chicken and eggs, meat, and grain products.

Nature ExplorersBe a nature detective by seeking out creepy crawlies and pond life. Explore the Country Centres natural habitats looking for clues from our wild visitors through bug hunting* and pond dipping*.
Use your senses and take a self-guided stroll around our Woodland Walk. Follow the Trail boards with activities that encourage the children to touch, see, listen, and smell their way around the different flowers and trees that grow there and wildlife that lives there. *Guided seasonal activities - April to September. Equipment provided for groups of 12. Pots, magnifying glasses, pond nets and buckets.

Our facilities
We will provide your group with a base for the day, where you can eat lunch and leave non-valuable belongings. All visitors should dress suitably for time on the farm – wellies and a warm, waterproof coat are recommended to change into for outdoor elements.
We have plenty of accessible toilets and hand wash areas around the Country Centre. A Changing Places Washroom is located in the same building as our Entrance, Café and Shop.
We are easily accessed off the A27 with plenty of parking for accessible vehicles, buses, and coaches.

Every one of our school trips is unique and tailored with activities that support the curriculum and are suited to the age and abilities of your group.
Our Visitor Experience team can help you plan and deliver a school trip to remember, bringing many areas of the National Curriculum to life. A pre-visit to discuss plans for your day trip in more detail is recommended.
